This training contributed to the further professional development of journalists, allowing them to produce other television formats than news. As a result of such trainings, a series of special reports entitled Just So Stories were produced. Each TV program entailed a 12-minutes-long production, including story, feature, film, interview and portrait. Its producers searched extraordinary facts, analyzed events and presented their own opinion. The training was carried out during 2002-2004, once in three weeks. Journalists and cameramen from TV companies, as well as freelancers participated in the training.

Internews periodically conducted on-site consultancies for the staff of TV and radio companies. The group of consultants worked intensively with TV or radio station employees for 3-7 days supporting them in the production of quality news. Consultancies on news production and newsroom work were carried out by Internews specialists. Foreign specialists were invited to conduct seminars on management, marketing, talk-show production and other topics.
