To Robert Kocharyan,
President of the Republic of Armenia
And My Beloved Armenian People At this hard and
complicated moment for Armenia and all Armenians, when the peace we achieved through a
10-year struggle and the statehood of the Republic of Armenia we achieved through unusual
sacrifices are endangered, we pray to God and we plead for the power of God to maintain
the peace of our country and to lead the children of our nation with wisdom.
Nobody can measure our anger about the horrible act of terror at the National Assembly
building where the elected representatives of our nation died. They were devoted to the
complicated mission of creating a free, democratic and legal state together with
the chairman of the National Assembly Karen Demirchyan and the Prime Minister of the
republic of Armenia Vazgen Sargsyan.
They were killed as martyrs of their homeland, while carrying out their sacred
responsibilities towards their nation.
We believe that our people, faithful to their spirit and character, will join with the
authorities of the republic, headed by the Lord, and will condemn this blasphemous crime,
confriming their uncompromising support towards their homeland and their own future.
On behalf of the All-Armenian Apostolic Church, we express our deepest condolences to you
and the entire Armenian nation. We share the grief of the families of the perished and all
their relatives.
We are urging you in a paternal way to set free all the hostages.
May almighty God favor the heavenly kingdom to the spirits of innocent vicitms and may
they repond in love and peace.
We send our consolation and compassion to the relatives of the dead and to the children of
all our nation.
Unlimited blessing and deep regards to the bright memory of the deceased.
May the memory of fair people be full of blessing.
Elected All-Armenian Catholicos
